The Super Max™ 8780 WS is an electric cold water wet sand blaster pressure washer that combines portable and powerful pressure washer capabilities with the versatility of a commanding wet sand blaster system. As with all 8700 WS models, the 8780 WS is trailer mountable and can be purchased with optional two gun operation, but with a higher pressure (4000 psi) and flow rate (5 GPM) for added power. The included wet sand blaster system extends the capabilities of this pressure washer greatly. The 8780 WS wet sand blaster pressure washer can efficiently remove rust, corrosion, paint layers, heavy deposits and other substances from a variety of surfaces. It can even restore surfaces to shiny bare metal, unlike normal pressure washers which can only remove contaminants. Adding to the versatility of this pressure washer machine is the ability to use a range of sand grit sizes and media, including baking soda and small plastic pellets for sandblasting purposes. The Super Max™ 8780 WS uses a sand point to draw sand directly from the container and into the 15' flexible sand pickup tube which carries the sand into the special venturi head where it is mixed with high-pressure water. The mixture exits the machine through the special round nozzle and is propelled across the surface at high speeds to remove layers of substances from the surface. The sand flow can be controlled by the proportioning valve located on the head.
This method of sandblasting, using high-pressured water, is much safer than other forms, like compressed air sandblasting which requires the user to wear breathing protection.
